The electronics industry is an important pillar for exportation of Thailand, constituting 24% of all national exports. In addition to this, Thailand has risen to be one of the most important global producers of integrated circuits, which when coupled for the above, means that Thailand finds itself in an advantageous situation, one which allows for continued and expedited expansion. These expansions will comprise technological integrations and incorporation of more complicated and smaller sensors, as well as integrated circuits. In doing so, the EEC seeks to promote the development of subindustries by enriching the ever-more-complicated integrated circuits industry, automotive electronic systems industry, and the electronic accessories industries which make use of advanced forms of technology. Some of these industries include communication devices, smart appliances, IoT, wearable electronics, electronics design, microelectronics, and embedded systems design.
